Family feud leads to suicide

BANGALORE: A 19-year-old nursing student who had married without informing her parents committed suicide at her residence in Doddakallasandra.The deceased is Nandini, a native of Rampura in Kollegal taluk, a student at a private nursing college in Mysore.She had married Venkatesh last year without informing her parents.Both hailed from the same village.According to police, she hanged herself to ceiling when she was alone following quarrels with husband.He had hidden his first marriage from her, the police said.Shocked at the suicide, Venkatesh took the body to her parent’s house but they did not accept.He brought back the body to the city and informed the police about it.The postmortem report revealed that she was pregnant.The police have registered a case and are investigating.
