Understanding of GodI was born into a family of IITians, and being an IIT alumnus myself, belong to a very scientific school of thought. So it’s hard to accept anything without proof. Having said that, I think one has to accept that there is a lot that science can’t be explained. So I’ll give into the benefit of doubt — in order to explain everything, there has to be a supernatural force. At best, I am being agnostic, although I’m unsure.Spiritual beliefsI own an online library — where you can order online and we’ll send your books home so by definition, I get to read a lot. One philosophy book I’ve really liked is ‘Plato and Platypus Walk Into a Bar’ – it does a round robin tour of all the major philosophies of the world, including the deep spiritual questions to more mundane practical problems. After a fair bit of reading, I’ve come to the conclusion that the theory I associate the most with is existentialism. Ofcourse, existentialism is similar to Buddha’s philosophy and Hindu philosophy to an extent.Spiritual practices I am a Brahmin by birth, so I follow a set of traditional practices. I also read up on philosophy whenever I can.Pilgrimage sites I haven’t visited any pilgrimage sites by individual choice; I don’t have a list for the future.(Amrutash Misra is the founder of the online library www.iloveread.in)
