BANGALORE: Depressed over his ill health, a 38-year-old man allegedly committed suicide after consuming sleeping pills at his residence in Subramanyanagar police station limits on Sunday.The deceased, identified as T Venkataraju. He was staying with his mother as he was epileptic.  The incident took place at around 9 am when his mother had gone to buy provisions. He had consumed tablets after locking himself inside the house. Upon return, his mother Hanumakka repeatedly knocked the door. When there was no response, she broke open the door with the help of her neighbours and found his body lying on the floor. He was immediately rushed to nearby hospital, where he died by evening. Woman throws herself before trainA 29-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by throwing herself in front of a passenger train at Nayandahalli near Kengeri.The deceased has been identified as Pushpa, a resident of Hosakerehalli. The incident took place at 9.30 am when a man who was passing by found her body and informed the police. The body was sent for postmortem. Preliminary investigations revealed that Pushpa may have taken the extreme as she was upset over her 20-day-old child’s death a few years ago.
