Engineering colleges get a week to fall in line

On a day when the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) announced the date for the EAMCET engineering counselling, the Admissions and Fee Regulatory Committee (AFRC) set a deadline of August 27 for all engineering colleges to fall in line with the fee-structure proposed by the state government.

In order to fix the uniform fee-structure for the colleges before beginning the online counselling on August 29, the private engineering colleges have been given a week’s time.

“It is in the interest of the government to obtain the NoC from private colleges.

The colleges are likely to concede to the demand except for some who have demanded higher fee,” said N.

Ramesh, chairman of Consortium of Engineering and Private College Managements Association (CEPCMA).
