Senior university officials, including former registrar M Tirumalvalavan, have also been exonerated.The DVAC was entrusted with the investigation into alleged irregularities, particularly the transfer of Rs 14.61 crore from the university’s account with the State Bank of India, which offered an interest of 9.7 per cent, to the Bank of Baroda, which offered a lesser rate of interest at 9.65 per cent.The DVAC, while  probing  the matter, found no evidence to substantiate the charges. Also, while probing the V-C and former registrar and controller of examination K G Senthilvasan for irregularities in the conduct of the State Eligibility Test held on August 14 last year, found no substantial evidence to proceed against the officials.
