KOCHI: Dubai Port World (DP World) has said that operations at the International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) were in compliance with all applicable safety regulations. At no stage was the ICTT involved in handling or dealing with any cargo that had not been cleared by the Customs for export,” DP World, which operates the terminal, said in a press release on Tuesday. The clarification comes in the wake of the seizure of red sandalwood at the entrance of the ICTT by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) last week. DP World denied reports that the ICTT was being operated without required security measures.“We always adopt high standards of security management. All our terminals, including the ICTT, are ISO 28000 certified. ISO 28000 certification indicates that we have globally recognised and accepted security management systems within the terminal, comparable with all other global ports and terminals,” DP World authorities said.
