India displayed immense maturity by learning from their previous defeat and not letting the Sunday loss affect their game.

It was in the fourth minute when Vandana Katariya converted a penalty corner to open the account. Deepika and Rani sneaked in two back-to-back field goals in the 11th and 12th minutes to make it 3-0.

Jaspreet Kaur (18th minute), Rani (19th, 25th), captain Ritu Rani (22nd), Deepika (27th) and Anuradha Thokchom (31st) scored to extend the lead to a staggering 9-0 by the end of the first half.

India showed no mercy in the second half, adding another five goals to the tally.

Starting the goal spree, Jaspreet made no mistake in converting two penalty corners in the 41st and 48th minutes followed by Anupa Barla (53rd), Deepika (64th) and Ritusha Arya (68th) to make it 14-0.

India are now placed third in their group of five and will have to win their next match against South Africa on Wednesday to have any chance of proceeding to the semi-finals.
