Mumbai police have arrested police constable Sunil Nadkar after his girlfriend accused him of rape.
Mumbai: Mumbai police have arrested police constable Sunil Nadkar at Kashimira in neighbouring Thane district after his girlfriend accused him of rape.
28-year old Sunil Nadkar attached to the Local Arms Division of Mumbai Police was arrested on Tuesday evening.
According to the Police, Nadkar was having an affair with his lover for over two years and had promised to marry her. His girlfriend pressed charges of rape against him after he refused to marry her, the police added.
Nadkar is to appear in the court on Wednesday.
