KOCHI: Thousands of fans from all over the state thronged to the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kaloor on Sunday  to watch their favourite stars in action. And, expectedly it was superstar Mohanlal’s fans who poured in great numbers. Fans began trickling in since 11 a.m., though the  match between Kerala Strikers and Mumbai Heroes was scheduled only at 6.30 p.m.More than 800 fans from the Northern parts of the state came  in tourist buses to the stadium, carrying posters and banners of Mohanlal. A majority of them expressed hope that the strikers would bounce back in their first home match and make good the narrow loss they suffered in the first one. “Our first match proved that we have some talented players in our team. With their help, we hope that Strikers beat Mumbai Heroes,” said Syam Prasad, a Mohanlal fan from Wayanad.  Meanwhile, the first match played between defending champions Chennai Rhinos and Bengal Tigers was also a hit. By the time the Chennai-Bengal match progressed, the stadium was jam-packed. As the strikers entered, the stadium erupted into a volcano of cheers.
