HYDERABAD: District Crime Records Bureau (DCRB)  will also function as  Special Juvenile Police Units and, all the 1,679 station house officers, who are designated as child welfare officers, will take care of ‘children in need of care and protection’, director-general of police V Dinesh Reddy has said.Speaking at the inauguration of state CID chiefs conference at the Indian School of Business on Friday by High Court chief justice Madan B. Lokur, Reddy said a Missing Persons Monitoring Cell was opened at the DGP’s office.  Reddy called for functional autonomy to the CID.CID officials discussed execution of non-bailable warrants issued by courts against those residing outside the state, restoration of missing children and identification of dead bodies, human trafficking and the need for close coordination.
