New Delhi: The CBI on Monday filed the chargesheet in the Navy war room leak case against four former defence officials including Commander Kulbushan Parashar, alleged to be one of the kingpins in the scandal.

The chargesheet, filed in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kanwaljeet Arora, also names sacked naval commanders Vijender Rana and V K Jha and Wing Commander S L Surve.

The chargesheet was filed under Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC and the relevant sections of the Official Secrets Act.

The court posted the matter for hearing on July 10 when it would take cognizance of the chargesheet.

The chargesheet was filed three days before the lapse of the mandatory 90 days.

The CBI did not name two other accused arrested, Raj Rani Jaiswal and Mukesh Bajaj, in the chargesheet and informed the court that further investigations are on against them and it may file a supplementary chargesheet against them soon.

CBI has termed Ravi Shankaran, a relative of Navy Chief Arun Prakash, as a 'proclaimed offender' in the chargesheet.

He is also alleged to be one of the key players in the naval war room leak case.
