The Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) has urged Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to urgently intervene in the Kitex issue and explore ways to reverse the company’s decision.
Pointing out that it will cast a negative shadow on Kerala’s investment prospects, the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the issues should be addressed at the earliest possible.
“If we are not able to give home-grown companies an atmosphere conducive for smooth functioning, how can we expect entities from outside to come in and invest here?
“A solution needs to be found on a war footing. Industries should be given the message that they are needed here and the government will support them,” chamber president P Narayan said.
