“A meeting of party MLAs has been called on Tuesday to discuss the current crisis.
If need be, all our MLAs and MPs will resign,” said the former CM.
The JD (S) has 26 MLAs and three MPs, including Gowda and his son Kumaraswamy.
The former CM said that elected representatives from the party took the decision to resign keeping public sentiments in mind.
“People in the region (Cauvery basin) feel that the elected representatives should resign and join hands with them.
Our MLAs and MP have done it,” he added.
He urged PM Manmohan Singh to send a team of experts to the state to check ground realities.
“The state government has to comply with the SC orders and approach it as early as possible to protect farmers’ interests,” he said adding that JD (S) will not politicise the issue.
