Cash, Laptop Stolen

PUDUCHERRY: Burglars struck at a house in  Brindavanam area on Monday night and decamped with gold ornaments, cash and a laptop. According to D’Nagar police, Swami Nayana Swamy (63), a French citizen, who was staying at a house at the First Cross Street for the last four years, had gone abroad after entrusting the house to a caretaker.On Tuesday morning, the gas cylinder suppliers noticed the doors of the house open without any trace of its occupants. They informed Elango, the person staying on the rented ground floor, who conveyed it to the caretaker, who rushed to the house and found the house ransacked. He informed the D’Nagar police, who rushed to the spot. They said the actual loss would be known  after Swamy returned.
