BMTC ropes in cricketers for Bus Day

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) seems to have made efforts to market Bus Day in an eye-catching manner.BMTC roped in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in a photo shoot involving Bus Day and also gave out signed posters in support of Bus day.The cricketers then proceeded to the match venue in a BMTC bus.“I made it a point to catch the bus to watch the match, it is very convenient since the bus stand is right next to the stadium, besides I get a drop till my house, I certainly hope others participate in Bus Day too,” said Rajesh, an RCB fan at the stadium.“We have integrated our daily pass with the Champions League tickets which are sold at the stadium, commuters who opt for this service will be getting a discount of `15 on the price of the pass.We also will be providing 12 buses exclusively to the stadium for passengers during and after the match.We will give out 100 bus passes to commuters, ” said Mallikarjunaiah, Public Relations Officer, BMTC.
