Big B undergoes midnight check-up

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan underwent a check-up at Nanavati Hospital at suburban Vile Parle late on Monday night.

The actor, who visited the hospital at 1200 hours IST underwent MRI and CT scan and left at around 0200 hours IST on Tuesday morning.

Doctors say the MRI was a follow up of his routine check-up. In November, the actor had undergone a major surgery for a ruptured diverticulum in the small intestine.

Bachchan had arrived at the hospital accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan and family physician Jayant Barve.

Bachchan is likely to undergo another surgery soon for hernia, which doctors had taken note of during the November operation.
