Beyond Slumdog..., who won what at Golden globe

Mumbai: Apart from Slumdog Millionaire, the other big winner at the 66th Golden Globe Awards was Kate Winslet who not only bagged the Best Actress for her role in the Revolutionary Road, Best Actress in a supporting role for The Reader.

And the best actor went to The Wrestler star Mickey Rourke. The film revolves around a wrestler who finds himself down and out after years of wrestling fame, and is reduced to working a day job at a supermarket to survive.

“It was great I had a director who couldn’t get money against my name,” says Mickey Rourke.

Woody Allen's story of two friends on holiday who fall in love with the same person, Vicky Christina Barcelona was named the Best Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy.

Colin Farrell won the Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a musical or a comedy for In Bruges, a Gangster comedy about a hit gone seriously wrong.

Best Actress in the same category went to Sally Hawkins for Happy Go Lucky. As anticipated, late Heath Ledger was honoured with Best Supporting Actor In for his Joker Act in The Dark Knight.

Israel's Waltz With Bashir won the Best Foreign Language Film, and Wall-E, the heart warming tale of a loveable robot won the best animation Globe.
