Bengaluru: The 7-day-old boy who was stolen from a government hospital in Bengaluru has been rescued from Shimoga.
The baby and the mother have been re-united, after the police officials found the missing infant. Police were tipped off by residents of Shimoga about the baby.
No arrests have made in the case and the police is still looking for the woman who was caught on CCTV walking off with the baby last week.
According to the baby's parents, they were approached by a woman who said she wanted to play with the infant. The unsuspecting couple passed on their baby to the woman and after about 10 minutes, the parents realised that both the woman and the baby were gone.
The baby was born on October 1.
