HYDERABAD: The Women's Protection Cell of the Crime Investigation Department rescued a Bangladeshi girl from the clutches of an interstate gang of traffickers on Thursday. CID police rescued the girl in Pune who was shifted to Hyderabad for temporary rehabilitation. SA Huda, additional DGP (Law and Order) said they had rescued a Bangladeshi girl, who was abducted in West Bengal and made to work as a commercial sex worker by an interstate gang of traffickers.
He added that additional DGP (CID) SV Ramanamurthy had received information from its West Bengal unit in August that a Bangladeshi girl had been abducted in West Bengal while giving a mobile number of the interstate gang operator. The CID began their probe with the help of call details of the SIM card and also set up informants. It came to light that three persons Moiz alias Srinivas, Pooja and Kajal were living in a house and were involved in prostitution. The traffickers used several houses in Picket, Sec'bad, Saifabad and Banjara Hills. The team rescued the victim, Kajal alias Aisha with the help of an informer and brought her to Hyderabad.
