Babu to expose Congress-TRS nexus

ANANTAPUR: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu has vowed to expose the nexus between the Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).Taking serious exception to TRS activists’ attack on T TDP MLAs’ bus near Ramayampet on Thursday, Naidu said the party would not tolerate such attacks.Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Naidu told the TRS that there was no use of such heinous attacks.“The TDP will not be cowed down by such attacks. The TDP will go to people and expose the TRS-Congress nexus,” he said. Naidu said the TDP would announce a special package for farmers after coming to power in the next elections.Earlier in the day, Naidu visited Dharmavaram and consoled the kin of TDP activists Narasimhulu, Ramanjaneyulu and Padmavati, who were hacked to death by their political opponents. The TDP chief promised to admit the victims’ children in NTR Model School to provide free education.He gave a solatium of `2 lakh to victims’ families. It was a pity that the police were not taking any action even the ruling Congress leaders were killing TDP workers. “As many as seven TDP workers were killed by their political opponents in Dharmavaram segment alone in the Congress regime.If the police did not arrest the assailants, I will camp in Dharmavaram,” Naidu warned.The TDP, if voted to power, would order reinvestigation into all the political murders and take action against the police officers for their failure to nab the assailants, he said. Naidu summoned Dharmavaram DSP and questioned him why the police failed to arrest the accused in the triple murder case.On his way to Anantapur from Dharmavaram, Naidu called up the district SP and informed him that the accused in the murder case was moving freely.At a constituency-wise review meeting of the party, Naidu called upon the TDP leaders to go to people.“Mingle with people and highlight their problems. Those who strive for people’s welfare will only get Assembly tickets. You will not get tickets if you move around me. Lord Ganesh circumambulated his parents, but you do not get the party tickets if you go around me,” Naidu told the party leaders, while underlining the need to work hard to win the trust of people. He also wanted the senior leaders to take collective responsibility to strengthen the TDP in Anantapur.
