BANGALORE: Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, in collaboration with Medtronic, USA and Dr Govindaraju Subramani, Heart Foundation, Wisconsin, USA, is organising an angioplasty workshop from October 3 to 8. Dr C N Manjunath, Director, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, said that the workshop is being planned for 200 poor patients and financially constrained senior citizens from various districts across the state.“Each stent worth Rs 50,000 to Rs1,00,000 will be given free of cost to all these patients and those who have already undergone coronary angiogram and advised angioplasty can avail this benefit. Needy patients have to produce either BPL Card or Low Income Certificate at the time of admission,” he said.Patients below the poverty line (BPL) and those with financial constraints can register their names before September 20.
