The Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Podiatry of the Amritha Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) will be organising a seminar on diabetes, endocrinology and diabetic foot conference on its campus here from Friday to Sunday.
Health Minister V S Sivakumar and PWD Minister E K Ebrahim Kunju would be inaugurating the conference at the Amriteswari Hall of AIMS.
Many international experts like Adrian Daly from Belgium and Robert Fryberg from USA are participating in the seminar.
The meeting will have delegates from all across the country. The subject of discussion will be deliberations on diabetes and diabetic foot management, thyroid disease, obesity, pituitary disease as well as diseases affecting the various hormone systems in the body.
The latest technique for diabetic foot diagnosis and management including diabetic foot diagnosis will also discussed.
Dr Prem Nair, medical director of AIMS, Dr Harish Kumar, HOD of Endocrinology Department, Dr Vasantha Nair, Dr R V Vijayakumar, Dr Ajithkumar Varma and Dr Unnikrishnan will also speak.
