New Delhi: It will be another day in court for murdered teenager Aarushi's parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar on Wednesday. The Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case is set to come up in three courts. It has been four years to the day when the Talwars' daughter Aarushi and their domestic help Hemraj were killed in their Noida home.
The dentist couple who are accused of her murder and that of their domestic help will first appear before a Sessions court in Ghaziabad. The court is likely to begin hearing arguments on the framing of charges.
The court had on Monday directed the CBI to provide probe-related CDs and documents to the defence counsel and had fixed May 16 as the next date of hearing.
However, the defence counsel had asked for documents and CDs prior to the tomorrow's hearing.
The court had asked the CBI to provide the documents and CDs by Tuesday. The CDs were handed over in the court, however, the agency was unable to provide all the documents as they ran into thousand of pages, said CBI counsel.
The CBI had earlier told the court that the agency had provided all relevant documents to them and had withheld only those on which it was not relying for the couple's prosecution.
The judge had earlier orally asked the CBI to give all the documents to the Talwars "for the sake of justice".
Nupur Talwar, who has been in the Dasna jail for the past 17 days is hoping that the Allahabad High Court will grant her bail when it takes up her petition on Wednesday.
The case will also come up in the Supreme Court that will continue hearing arguments on the Talwars' review plea, which seeks the quashing of the trial court's order.
14-year-old Aarushi was found murdered on the intervening night of May 16-17, 2008 at her Noida residence and the body of Hemraj was found on the terrace of the house the next day.
