Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have a busy Saturday as he starts his day early with a 5.45 am safari in the Kaziranga National Park in Assam and will end it with night prayers at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and a road show in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi from where he will be contesting again in the soon-to-be-held elections. The packed day will also see three public programmes in as many states, apart from the visit to UP.
The PM stayed overnight in the Kaziranga National Park on March 8 after arriving in Assam. On Saturday, at around 5.45 am, the Prime Minister visited Kaziranga and went on a safari in the Park famous for one-horned rhinos, elephants, wild water buffaloes, swamp deer, and tigers.

From Assam, he will leave for Arunachal Pradesh where at 10.30 am the PM will participate in a ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit North East’ programme in Itanagar, then dedicate the Sela Tunnel to the nation, and launch about Rs 10,000-crore-worth UNNATI scheme. Here, he will also inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stones of multiple development projects worth about Rs 55,600 crore in Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh.
Thereafter, the Prime Minister will reach Jorhat in Assam at around 12.15 pm and unveil the magnificent statue of renowned Ahom general Lachit Borphukan. He will also participate in a public programme in Jorhat, and inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stones of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 17,500 crore in Assam.
After that, the Prime Minister will travel to Siliguri in West Bengal and participate in a public programme at around 3.45 pm. Here too he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stones of multiple development projects worth about Rs 4,500 crore in West Bengal.
At around 7 pm, the Prime Minister will reach Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. He will perform darshan and pooja at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. There could also be an impromptu roadshow of the Prime Minister in Varanasi on the night of March 9 from the airport to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple over a distance of 28 km. The PM will be at the temple a day after the auspicious festival of Shivratri.
The PM is staying the night in Varanasi before leaving for Azamgarh on the morning of March 10, prior to which he could also hold a meeting with BJP leaders in his constituency about the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections here.
