BANGALORE: A city court has convicted three persons of gang-raping and murdering a 13-year-old girl at Jalahalli three years ago.The convicted persons are Koushik Devanath, Sushant and Narasimha Sahu.They, on July 19, 2008, had raped and murdered the victim near Brigade Courtyard Labour Colony when she was attending nature’s call. The accused Koushik and Sushanth raped and murdered her and Narasimha Sahu helped them to commit the crime.The court has convicted him by pronouncing seven years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of `2,000 to each.Youth hits median, dies on spotA mason died after he hit his bike to a road median near Kundalahalli Gate in White Field traffic police station limits on Sunday night.The deceased Ramanjaneyulu (25), a native of Raichur, was residing in Thubarahalli on Vartur main road.According to the police, the deceased was returning home when the incident occurred.Near Kundalahalli Gate, he lost control over the bike and rammed it into the road median. He succumbed to injuries on the spot, the police explained.White Field traffic police have registered a case in this connection.
