'1920 Evil Returns' is doing well at the box office despite being snubbed by the critics.

New Delhi: 'Skyfall', the latest film in the James Bond franchise is still doing well at the UK box office, and positive word of mouth publicity is expected to give it a good opening in India too. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweets about its business in UK, "#Skyfall is smashing records in UK. Week 2 - Fri £ 5,089,014. Total: £ 42,420,327 [$ 67.9 million]."

He also tweets about the business of Hindi releases of this week, "Looking at the Fri numbers of '1920 Evil Returns', it should be titled 'Vikram Bhatt Returns' with a bang, after #Raaz3 and now this film."

Directed by Bhushan Patel, '1920 Evil Returns' is performing well at the ticket window despite thumbs down from the critics, Adarsh writes on Twitter, "'1920 Evil Returns' Fri 4.05 cr, Sat *est* 3.80 cr to 4 cr nett. Marginal decline in mass circuits, while Mumbai increases. Overall, V GOOD!"

"'1920 Evil Returns' Sat *actuals* 3.88 cr nett. Excellent," adds Taran Adarsh.

Sameer Sharma's 'Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana' is also expected to recover its cost. Taran Adarsh writes, "#LuvShuvTeyChickenKhurana Fri 1.25 cr, Sat 2 cr nett."

It shows that the popular views are not always the same as the critics' views. '1920 Evil Returns' was snubbed by the critics but is lapped by the common film enthusiasts.
