12 more held for Yanam arson

YANAM: Eight days after the violence and arson at Regency Ceramics Limited (RCL) in Yanam, 12 more persons were taken into custody by the Puducherry police on Saturday. Of the 12, one person was arrested and the remaining 11 surrendered before SSP VJ Chandran. With this, the total number of persons taken into police custody in connection with the riots, rose to 22.Meanwhile, a 13-member delegation from Puducherry, including four MLAs of AIADMK, visited the Regency Ceramics Limited on Saturday. They gathered information from locals pertaining to the violence that took place in Yanam on January 27.
