Skipper Dwarka Ravi Teja missed out on a well-deserved ton as Hyderabad reached 281 for six against Andhra on the opening day of the group C Ranji Trophy match on Sunday.
Ravi Teja played 167 balls to hit 13 boundaries before he was castled by right-arm swing bowler Bandaru Ayyappa. The other 50 plus score came from opener P Akshath Reddy, who hit 55 with the help of nine boundaries adding 70 runs for the opening stand with Tirumalsetti Suman.

Debutant Punia scores 64 for Services, HP in command
Himachal Pradesh were in a commanding position after dismissing Services for a lowly 226 on the first day of a Group C Ranji Trophy encounter on Sunday.
At stumps, Himachal Pradesh were 19 for no loss.
For Services, debutant Deepak Punia, coming in at No 9, scored 64 off 67 balls with nine boundaries and two sixes as his half-century got Services out of the rut at 147 for eight.

Goa score 313 for six on day one against Kerala
Half-centuries from Amogh Desai, Darshan Misal and Saurabh Bandekar enabled Goa finish day one of their Ranji Trophy Group C match against Kerala on a commanding 313 for six on Sunday.
At stumps, Misal was unbeaten on 67 and giving him company at the other end was Amit Yadav on eight.

Tripura bowled out for 135, Assam 68 for 4
A total of 14 wickets fell as Assam bowled out Tripura for 135 before being reduced to 68 for four on day one of their opening Group C Ranji Trophy match on Sunday.
At stumps, hosts Assam trailed the visitors by 67 runs with six wickets remaining in the 1st innings at the Nehru Stadium.
Manisankar Murasingh top-scored for Tripura with 47, while Sibsankar Roy (3 for 6) and Krishna Das (3 for 41) were Assam’s most successful bowlers.
