Telugu actor Mahesh Babu is gearing up to entertain the masses with his next film titled Guntur Kaaram. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film has created immense buzz ever since its announcement. From the changing shooting schedules to alterations of the cast and crew, the film has had its fair share of alleged controversies. Earlier, reports circulated that Mahesh Babu had begun shooting for Guntur Kaaram after returning from a vacation in London.
Now, it is being said that Trivikram Srinivas is planning to include an item song in the film. The reports of the item song come as a surprise, as Trivikram’s earlier films never had one. His film focuses on family audiences. This time, speculations are rife that Trivikram Srinivas is venturing into making a full-fledged mass commercial film. He is likely to get a popular actress on board for the item song in Guntur Kaaram. Fans are expecting an official confirmation on the same.
Earlier this month, Mahesh Babu reportedly shot a solo song at an aluminium factory and at his residence, as per reports. Actresses Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary were also expected to join this schedule. Notably, Sreeleela was roped in to play the female protagonist in the film, after Pooja Hegde withdrew from the project. Meenakshi will also be seen playing a pivotal role in the film.
Guntur Kaaram has been produced by S Radha Krishna. The highly-anticipated film is the third collaboration between Trivikram Srinivas and Mahesh Babu. Speaking of the storyline, the film explores the life of the leader of Guntur City’s criminal underworld. He becomes romantically involved with a journalist, who is on a mission to expose the city’s illegal operations. Their love story takes an interesting turn and that forms the core of the storyline.
Veteran comedian Brahmanandam will essay a significant role in the film, with Jagapathi Babu as the antagonist. Guntur Kaaram also features Ramya Krishna, Raghubabu, Prakash Raj, Sunil and Jayaram. Netflix has reportedly secured the post-theatrical digital rights of Mahesh Babu’s film.
