Humidifier and air-conditioning filters need regular cleaning to reduce the build up of soot, dirt, dust and other particles. It is also important to keep these filters clean to prevent bacterial build-up. This article explains an eco-friendly and budget-conscious method for cleaning filters.
Create a vinegar mixture. Mix together equal parts white distilled vinegar and warm water.
Remove the filter. Soak the filter in the vinegar and warm water mixture. Leave it to soak for 60 minutes.
Squeeze dry. Gently squeeze the filter dry after removing from the soak. Allow to air-dry before replacing in the equipment.
