Screen Sharing on Desktop
Navigate to a channel or chat where you'd like to share your screen. Up to 50 people can share their screens at the same time. You can share your screen in a voice channel, a group, or private chat.
Click the Stream Screen icon. It looks like a monitor with a curved arrow inside it. You'll find this icon near the bottom of your app window or browser window to the right of the application you're using, like "Google Chrome" or "Word." If you're in a DM or group chat, you need to start a call before you can start streaming. Simply click the phone receiver or video camera icon to initiate the call.
Select the streaming options. Use the first drop-down under "What You're Streaming" to select an application running on your computer that you want to stream. If you don't see the application or game you're running here, you need to add it first in User Settings > Registered Games. Select a voice channel to stream under "Select a voice channel." Set your stream quality next. Only Nitro users can stream with HD resolution. However, you don't need a Nitro subscription to stream altogether.
Click Go Live. You'll see this option after you select the options in the previous step. Tap the red icon to stop sharing your screen. To watch a stream, click the eye next to the person who's live. You can also steam to Discord from the overlay if you're in a fullscreen application. Open the overlay by pressing Shift + ` and select Go Live.
