Van der Vaart quits SV Hamburg, to join Real Madrid
Van der Vaart is set to sign a five-year contract.

New Delhi: Dutch midfielder, Rafael Van der Vaart has agreed to move out of SV Hamburg to join Real Madrid.

According to Spanish media reports, Van der Vaart is set to sign a five-year contract for a fee of around 10 million euros.

Van der Vaart will be the fifth Dutchman in the Real Madrid squad. Others were Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has retired, Arjen Robben, Royston Drenthe and Wesley Sneijder.

Van der Vaart, who joined Hamburg in 2005, had been a long-time target of Real Madrid. He was reportedly signed up at the insistence of coach Bernd Schuster.
