Eyed by many English clubs after his desire to move from Manchester United, Wayne Rooney has reportedly got himself interested in a 20-million-pound offer by Jose Mourinho's Chelsea, according to The Telegraph
Following new United manager David Moyes officially taking charge on Monday, a meeting between the former Everton coach and Rooney is expected on Tuesday, which will be eagle-eyed by Chelsea as well as Arsenal and Paris St-Germain who have also show interest in the English striker.
United, though, continue to stand by what they said - that they would not allow Rooney to move to another English club, but Roman Abramovich's big offer to bring Rooney to Stamford Bridge is not something that the player can easily overlook.
All that suggests that a swift end to the impasse isn't likely, but July 10, when United depart for a pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia, could offer a clue on Rooney's future.
