Bayern extends Ribery's contract until 2015
Bayern Munich announced that it has signed winger Frank Ribery to a new five-year contract.

Berlin: Bayern Munich announced that it has signed winger Frank Ribery to a new five-year contract.

The German club said in a statement posted on its website on Sunday that it agreed a contract extension with the France international that will keep him at the club until 2015.

It said the new contract was signed on Saturday ahead of the Champions League final against Inter Milan in Madrid. Inter won the match 2-0.

Ribery missed the final because of suspension.

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said "we are very happy to have agreed on the contract's extension with one of the world's best soccer players."

Ribery, who has been at the club since 2007, said he is happy to stay with Bayern Munich, which "has become a grand family for me."
