Amidst speculations of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney joining rival club Arsenal, legendary defender Tony Adams has disapproved the idea of the England striker's move to the Emirates.
The Mirror reports that Adams, who made 504 appearances for the Gunners, that Rooney will find it difficult to survive in the capital. "I'm not sure Wayne Rooney could handle London.", said the former Arsenal defender.
Rooney has been with United since 2004, and Adams has raised doubts about his adaptability outside the boundaries of Manchester.
Adams also added, "That would be a massive risk for me. I don't think it's a question of finances, it's his temperament and mentality. London is a different animal. It takes a different type of player to handle it.
"Wayne is a super player and I would love to see him at the Arsenal. But I'm not sure about him mentally, off the pitch and his professionalism."
