Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI is back in the capital, with another power packed schedule. To welcome the festive season, the five days of fashion continue to show support to new, emerging and established talent and present the latest beauty trends with one of a kind showcases.
Raising the curtain this season is the Lakme Glitterati showcase featuring Sanjay Garg’s Raw Mango, which will be presented on October 10th. As the opening designer, Sanjay will be presenting his collection, Children of the Night, that draws inspiration from the enigmatic world that comes alive after dark, drawing from the haven of darkness.
“We are honoured to present the opening show for this season of Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI in Delhi. ‘Children of the Night’ will surprise, while still being true to our DNA. Each garment includes innovations in textiles, including brocade imparting a sense of knitwear, kaleidoscopic weaves and an incredible range of gleaming metallics,” expresses Sanjay Garg.
Lakme, Fashion Design Council of India and Reliance Brands together continue to strengthen the platform with unique and remarkable designs curated by visionary and impactful creators and brands. Several distinct brands collaborate with leading designers including NEXA Presents Amit Aggarwal, R|Elan X Varun Bahl, Lakme Salon Presents Anju Modi, TRESemme X Falguni Shane Peacock, Kohler X Tarun Tahiliani, Titan Raga X Pankaj and Nidhi, and Caprese X Gauri & Nainika.

“We are excited to be showcasing this season at Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. We believe in the power of playfulness and once again, have taken classic silhouettes and created a seamless blend of the formal and the casual by dressing them in wit and whimsy,” says designer Rakesh Thakore. Looking forward to the show, designer David Abraham says, “This collection [Body Language] is a celebration of the timeless art of communication through fashion. We hope it starts a much-needed conversation and transcends the limitations of words.”
Every year the fashion runway showcases stunning designs blended beautifully with music and art. “This coalescence between art and fashion is symbolic of a dynamic and transformative space, offering a platform for artists and designers to push the envelope of creativity, challenge conventions, and create unique and culturally significant works,” says Shalini Passi, founder, Mash India.
The fashion platform has celebrated young and emerging talent with the same amount of pomp and show as established designers.
