Some of the staff members and students have registered a complaint with the Melapalayam police station. The matter is being investigated. 

A NEET coaching centre owner in Tamil Nadu was caught beating male students with a cane and throwing footwear at girl students while they were attending classes. A case has been registered by the police against the accused, Jalal Ahmad following a CCTV footage of the assault that went viral on social media, reported PTI.

One of the girls allegedly had left her footwear outside the classroom, in a place other than the designated area due to which Ahmad threw the footwear at her, reported Times of India. While one of the boys was found sleeping in the class. According to the police, Ahmad who hails from Kerala started the coaching centre, JAL NEET Academy, in Tirunelveli about two years ago. Earlier, he used to work as a trainer in Kerala. The centre had been coaching students from neighbouring places such as Krishnagiri, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Madurai, and Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu as well as some parts of Kerala, the report added.

Some of the staff members and students have registered a complaint with the Melapalayam police station. The police booked a case against Ahmad under section 75 of the JJ Act for cruelty to children.  The matter is currently being investigated.

In another include, a school teacher in Telangana was caught hitting a student several times in front of his classmates. In the video, the student can be seen standing in a corridor of a classroom, while the teacher approaches him, thrashes him, and then hits him hard on the back. The parents of the student later on went to the school and demanded action against the teacher. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
