The State Bank of India (SBI) is expected to release the notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officer (PO) positions soon. To apply for the exam, a candidate must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Interested candidates, who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their graduation, can also apply for the same. Based on the guidelines set by SBI in the previous exams, candidates should be graduates in any stream and between 21 years and 30 years of age.

A total of 2000 vacancies were filled last year. Those who fill out the application form correctly will have to appear for the preliminary examination. Last year, the prelims exam was held in November.

Candidates must pay a fee of Rs 750 to successfully apply for the exam. Those who clear the prelims will next be called for the mains exam. Thereafter, the selected will be invited for the interview round and document verification. If selected for the PO posts, candidates will receive a salary of Rs 41,960 per month.

Step 3 – Use your credentials to fill in the application form.

Step 4 – Upload the necessary documents

Step 5 – Make the payment of online application fees.

Step 6 – Download the confirmation page after applying.

The written examination is held in two phases. The first phase of the examination, known as Prelims, consists of 100 marks. The pattern includes 30 questions in English Language, 35 of which will be related to Quantitative Aptitude and 35 of which will relate to Reasoning Ability.

For Mains, also known as the exam’s second phase, questions are worth 250 marks. The second part involves objective questions. Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for an interview and document verification.
