Patna Women’s College Begins Admission Process Amid NAAC Inspection
The online admission forms were released on February 1 and the admissions will begin in May after the proper scrutiny of the forms.

The admission process has commenced at Patna Women’s College, Bihar, an institution founded in 1940, marking it as the first and oldest higher learning institution dedicated to women’s education in Bihar. Enrollments are open for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Postgraduate Diploma courses. The online admission forms were released on February 1, with admissions slated to begin in May after thorough scrutiny of the applications. Concurrently, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) team is scheduled to inspect Patna Women’s College on April 15-16.

For the academic year 2024, the college is set to introduce three new courses: Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science and Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design. Integrated programs combining a Bachelor of Education with Economics and History will also be offered. Dr. Amrita Chaudhary, Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Committee (IQAC) at Patna Women’s College, located near Gandhi Maidan, disclosed that the college has obtained NAAC approval upon submission of all necessary reports. Following the NAAC inspection, the college anticipates achieving autonomous status, with the team scrutinising 85 official documents.

Entrance exams are scheduled for May 24 for courses such as Master of Arts, Bachelor of Computer Applications and Content Management System, with exams for Bachelor of Business Administration, Microbiology and Bachelor of Mass Communication set for May 25. Exams for Bachelor of Commerce- Accounting and Finance, Commerce Professional will take place on May 27, while May 28 will witness examinations for Bachelor of Science in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics, Zoology, Data Science and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

NAAC accreditation not only instils confidence in students regarding the institution’s quality but also enhances its credibility, thereby boosting admissions.
