JEE Main 2024: Delhi's Ipsit Mittal, Who Got 100 Percentile, Shares How He Made It Happen
Ipsit Mittal revealed that he started preparing for the JEE examination when he was in Class 10.

The result of the JEE Main Session 2 was announced yesterday on April 25, 2024. As per reports, more than 9 lakh candidates appeared for the examination. Among them, Ipsit Mittal from Delhi has achieved a 100 percentile in the examination. In this exclusive interview, the aspirant details his tips to prepare for the test.

Ipsit resides in the Dilshad Garden, in the East Delhi region. He completed his education at the Amity International School, in Mayur Vihar. He is the son of a businessman, Aditya Mittal, and his mother Surbhi Mittal is a writer.

In a conversation with Local18, Ipsit revealed that he credits his father and uncle for his success in the JEE Main Session 2 examination. He said that his uncle always provided motivation.

Ipsit further revealed that he started preparing for the JEE Main examination when he was in Class 10. To prepare he enrolled in the FIITJEE coaching institute. According to him, self-study is the key to success, while having a good teacher. A good teacher is more important than coaching, added Ipsit. “You have to work hard and devote 14 to 15 hours a day to the preparation,” the topper added.

He emphasised the fact that one should not pressurise oneself and keep their mind fresh. Giving examples from his tactics, he said that he keeps himself stress-free by engaging in sports and other physical activities along with reading some fiction. However, these engagements have gone down since Class 12, added Ipsit.

His family wanted him to become a doctor, but he always showed interest in maths and engineering. So, he followed his heart and became the topper, achieving the 100 percentile in JEE Main Session 2. Talking about his next target, he revealed he now aims to top the JEE Advanced examination.
