Candidates aspiring to become a Ticket Collector (TC) must provide relevant details to submit the application form. The salary of Railway TCs typically ranges from Rs 21,000 to Rs 81,700, depending upon various factors.

Job Profile

The Ticket Collector (TC) is responsible for overseeing a coach and checking that all the passengers have a valid ticket with them. If anyone is found without a valid ticket, then the ticket collector can impose a fine. Other times, Ticket Collectors also patrol the platforms to ensure people have a valid platform ticket.

Eligibility Criteria

The educational criteria of a candidate must have passed class 12th with either Arts, Commerce or Science stream from any state or central board.

Age Limit

The age limit of the candidate should be at least 18 years and the maximum age must be 30 years. However, there is a relaxation of the maximum age for Other Backward Classes (OBCs), and Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST) is three and five years respectively.

Selection Criteria

For the recruitment of Ticket Collector, candidates have to pay Rs 500 as an application fee. Women candidates and SC/ST candidates will have to pay Rs 250 and will be given a full refund later.
