Inter Science College in Jharkhand has once again proven its reputation for academic excellence with outstanding results in the recent 12th-grade exams conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council. Specialising in science and commerce streams for classes 11 and 12, the college has consistently produced board toppers year after year.
In the latest results, Ritika Kumari from the science stream secured the second position statewide with an impressive score of 482 out of 500 marks. Similarly, Divya Bharati, a commerce student, clinched the first position in the district. These achievements highlight the college’s ongoing legacy of academic success.
Situated in Korrah, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, Inter Science College has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 2005, initially offering only the science stream. The addition of the commerce stream in 2020 further diversified its academic offerings.
Principal Basant Jha attributes the college’s success to its simplified teaching methodology, emphasizing easy comprehension among students. Emphasizing the importance of full attendance, Jha noted that students are encouraged to rely solely on college resources, refraining from seeking external tuition. This approach fosters self-reliance and problem-solving skills, reinforcing a unique perspective towards education.
Regarding enrollment, Jha highlighted the ongoing admissions process for the 2024-26 session. Despite the board’s restrictions limiting admissions to 384 seats, efforts are underway to maintain the previous enrollment levels of approximately 2500 students. Admission criteria require boys and girls aspiring for the science stream to secure minimum marks of 85% and 80%, respectively, in their 10th-grade exams. For commerce stream admissions, boys and girls must achieve minimum marks of 75% and 70%, respectively, in their 10th-grade exams.
