Engineering Graduate Yash Shekhar Quits High-Paying Job To Become Motivational Speaker
Yash passed B.Tech in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra with first-division distinction.

Yash Shekhar, an engineering graduate from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, has taken an unconventional path by transitioning from a lucrative job to becoming a spiritual healer and motivational speaker. Despite earning a computer science degree with first-division distinction marks, Yash chose to follow his spiritual calling, demonstrating that one can find both fulfilment and financial success in the field of spirituality.

His journey towards spirituality commenced during his engineering studies, where he became a certified Kriyavana from Yogoda Satsang Ashram (YSS). This marked the beginning of Yash’s association with Himalayan masters, deepening his meditation skills and focusing on mastering Reiki, a complementary and alternative healing practice.

Yash’s early life was marked by financial hardship, as his father, a journalist at a newspaper, faced job instability during a strike in November 1989. The family endured financial challenges until December 1993. Raised in an impoverished slum, Yash learned the value of leading a simple life while navigating financial constraints, instilled by his parents.

Despite its humble beginnings, Yash Shekhar has emerged as a prominent figure in the field of spiritual healing. Over the past decade, he has garnered recognition from hospitals, charitable organisations and individuals across various domains. Yash’s expertise in spiritual healing has extended to training college students at NMIMS and LEAD, two prestigious management schools in India, as part of the Taleem o Tarbiat program. The initiative is overseen by social reformer and Maulana Azad National Urdu University Chancellor Zafar Sareshwala.

Yash has also played a crucial role in educating doctors globally on meditation, yoga, mental health and patient care. Serving as the president of the Indian Fertility Society, he actively contributes to the field.

In addition to his spiritual pursuits, Yash Shekhar continues to make a significant impact on education, healthcare and social reform, showcasing that a spiritual journey can be both personally enriching and professionally successful.
