The story of the movie revolves around a husband and a wife along with their three children. Gemini Ganesan played the role of husband in the movie while Bhanumathi played the role of wife. In the movie, the couple earned handsome money as the wife was the doctor while the husband was the lawyer. They both decide to run the family with an agreement that both of them would contribute equally to the family expenses.
After a series of arguments between the husband and wife, the couple decides to divorce. In the end, after the drama put on by the children and their colleagues, the husband and the wife are reunited and stay happily ever after.
