With the festive season nearing in Sivakasi, an industrial town in the Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu, the sale of firecrackers and calendar manufacturing is underway. Calendar production, which commenced on August 18, is currently in high gear, with various types like die-cutting Calendars and Monthly Calendars being manufactured.
The Sivakasi Calendar Maker, known for their innovative approach to calendar production and the introduction of various calendar formats, received a positive response from the public for their previous creation, the QR calendar.
The proprietor of Sivakasi Karpagam Calendars mentioned that due to their consistent innovation in calendar formats, customers are now inquiring about what’s novel beyond just the price. This is why they find it necessary to create fresh calendars with each release.
This monthly calendar, thoughtfully designed with both a clock to display the time and the date, is ideal for office use. If you’re interested in purchasing this calendar, you can reach out at 9750932482.
Besides, at Sivakasi, a temporary facility has been established for conducting Raw Materials/Chemicals, Composition, and Emissions (RACE) testing. This facility is dedicated to testing green crackers.
In compliance with a directive from the Supreme Court, CSIR-NEERI has developed a formula for manufacturing green crackers, which has led to a significant reduction in emissions, ranging from 20 per cent to 30 per cent. A total of 1,000 fireworks units in the Virudhunagar district have registered with NEERI to produce these environmentally friendly fireworks.
Members of the Tamil Nadu Fireworks and Amorces Manufacturers Association (TANFAMA) and CSIR-NEERI have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish an emission testing laboratory dedicated to testing green fireworks in Sivakasi.
The laboratory, with a total cost of Rs 15 crore, will be funded through contributions from both the central government and fireworks manufacturers. A five-acre plot of land has already been acquired along the Sivakasi-Vembakottai Road for the establishment of this facility.
