Mumbai: The rupee depreciated 10 paise to 66.52 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday at the Interbank Foreign Exchange due to appreciation of the American currency in global markets.

The rupee had gained 31 paise to close at three-week high of 66.42 in Thursday trade.
Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex fell 100.77 points or 0.39 per cent to 25,703.01 in early trade.
