The inaugural season of the CEAT Indian Super League (ISRL) has come to an end with the final leg of the first edition taking place in Bengaluru. BigRock Motorsport had a dominant show taking wins in all three categories. (450cc international, 250cc international and 250cc India Mix)
Big Rock went on to secure the win by keeping their position at the top of the table following some fantastic performances from their riders. The Australian, Mat Moss went on to win the 450cc international category, while fellow Aussie, Reid Taylor went on to win the 250cc international category and the 250cc India Asia Mix won by Thanarat Penjan.
In the final leg of season 1 of ISRL at Bengaluru, here are the results from each category.
450cc International
The 450cc international stage saw the French star, Jordi Tixier of BB Racing taking home wins in both the races that were conducted. He managed to record times of 8:13:04 in race 1 and improved his timing in race 2 with a time of 8:11:054.
250cc International
The 250cc international race was dominated by another Frenchman Hugo Manzato who showcased his prowess by winning both races. He racked up times of 7:43:864 and 7:46:967 to take home the wins.
250cc India Asia Mix
The 250cc India Asia Mix category saw the Thai racers dominate as they took home the top three positions in both races. Ben Prasit Hallgren took the win in the first race with a time of 7:12:310 and Athison Ruadero won the second with 7:04:564.
85cc Demo
In the 85cc category, it was Brian Gyles from Thailand representing the Gujarat Trailblazers who took the win, standing out from the competition with a time of 57.937. While this was not officially a competitive fixture, the Thai racer went on to get the victory and put himself a cut above the rest.
The event in Bengaluru went on to have over 8000+ spectators to mark a new era in Indian motorsports by featuring some high-octane action with some top-level riders showcasing their talents as well. The spectacle also featured the All-Star event which brought together some of the finest riders in the roster to deliver an entertaining contest as well.
Following the end of the first season, the ISRL will look to come back again for the second edition, much bigger and better.
