Rolls-Royce Successfully Runs UltraFan Technology at UK's Facility, Check Details
The company says the UltraFan’s scalable technology from 25,000-110,000lb thrust also provides dedicated power to the widebody and narrow body aircraft in future.

Rolls-Royce has successfully demonstrated UltraFan’s technology, which offers maximum power to aero-engines. The company has run the technology at its facility in the UK’s Derby. It has been shared by the officials that the initial test stage was conducted using 100 percent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

Confirming the news, officials called it a big step towards improving the overall scenario of current and future aero-engines in terms of efficiency. It has been informed that UltraFan will be 25 percent more fuel efficient than the original Trent 700, and will prove as the key element to improve gas turbine performance and efficiency.

UltraFan Technology

The company says the UltraFan’s scalable technology from 25,000-110,000lb thrust also provides dedicated power to the widebody and narrow body aircraft, which are anticipated in the 2030s.

More Technologies to Power Trent Engines

As a part of the UltraFan development program, the company pointed out that it has multiple technologies, which will be used in present Trent engines. This will provide the customers with more efficiency, reliability and greater availability.
