Traveling between Jaipur and Delhi is set to become incredibly fast as the ambitious Jaipur-Bandikui expressway project, a crucial link to the Delhi-Mumbai expressway, nears completion. This development promises to drastically cut travel time between the two cities, even outpacing the famed Vande Bharat Express train. Approximately 80% of the 67 km long Jaipur-Bandikui four-lane expressway, which connects directly to the Delhi-Mumbai expressway, has been finished. Significant hurdles, including the removal of 250 shops, houses, and other structures obstructing the route, have been successfully resolved with compensation provided to affected parties.
Officials report that the journey from Delhi to Jaipur, which currently takes several hours by road, will be reduced to a swift three-hour drive upon project completion. The upcoming Clover Leaf Six Lane Expressway will seamlessly integrate with the Southern Ring Road and Jaipur-Agra Highway, further enhancing connectivity and travel efficiency. Initial work on Clover Leaf Raps 3 and 4 commenced between April and May, with further phases scheduled to follow. However, the removal of 265 buildings initially posed delays, necessitating compensation totaling fourteen crore 54 lakh.
Compensation Disbursed
Owners of the buildings slated for demolition under the Jaipur-Bandikui Expressway project have received their compensation, clearing the way for construction to resume. Progress had been temporarily delayed due to the removal of 265 additional buildings required for the expressway’s construction, necessitating compensation amounting to Rs 14,54,00,000 (fourteen crore fifty-four lakh). However, with compensation distribution completed, construction has resumed in full force, with 80% of the work already accomplished.
Just 3-Hour Journey
Upon completion, commuters can expect not only shorter travel times but also significant relief from current traffic congestion on existing routes. This transformative project promises to make journeys between Jaipur and Delhi quicker and more convenient than ever before, potentially surpassing the travel speed of the high-speed Vande Bharat express train.
