Hampshire: A massive manhunt has been launched for a convicted paedophile who is on the run in Hampshire, a county on the southern coast of England. The predatory paedophile is obsessed with young girls and had been missing since on Tuesday after escaping from a psychiatric unit from hospital in Winchfield. He was last seen leaving a hospital, near Hook.
Stephen Munden, 54, was detained under the Mental Health Act after sexually touching a three-year-old girl and stroked her hand with his finger in full view of the child's mother and grandmother as reported by the Dailymail website.

He is 5 feet 8 inches tall, of a heavy build with dark hair and is believed that he may have shaved off his beard before leaving the hospital so that children may find him attracting and he may get chance to fulfill his sexual desire. Officers involved in the manhunt have released images of him with both facial hair and a clean shave.
Munden was convicted of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13. He had denied committing the offence, claiming it was accidental when he appeared at Southampton Crown Court.
During the sentencing David Jenkins, prosecutor, told that the defendant had admitted to 10 unrelated offences of possessing or attempting to possess indecent and obscene images of children. The court further heard that he had been arrested after using one of the public computers in an attempt to download obscene images of Children.
